The opening scene of James Bond film Spectre has been spoiled, but it’s not a spoiler at all.
“The Bond film has been made by two very different people,” wrote author Matt Damon in an Instagram post that also features a video of his character playing the title role.
“One of them made it and one of them didn’t.
That means that the Bond franchise is in the hands of two completely different mindsets.”
According to Damon, the studio behind the James Bond franchise, 20th Century Fox, has made changes to the plot, set-up, and characterisation of the film in order to make it more digestible to a younger audience.
James Bond’s filmography has changed dramatically over the last 20 years, with the latest installment being released in 2017.
While there are still many plot points that have not been resolved, the story of James and Daniel Craig has shifted and evolved over the course of the 20th century.
The first film in the franchise, Skyfall, was released in March 2018, but the third installment in the series, Spectre , has not been released in a while, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the fourth film, Spectre 5.
While Spectre 5 was supposed to be the end of the series for Bond, it appears to have been pushed back by 20th (and most recently Warner Bros.) to 2019, which would make it the final film in what has been a popular franchise for 20 years.
As for what the next Bond movie will be, it remains to be seen.
While the first four Bond films were mostly faithful to the comics and comic books, the last four films were more inspired by the movies from the James Cameron-directed Avatar franchise, which has seen many different iterations since it debuted in 2009.
James Bond is set to return to the big screen in 2020, but its unclear what will happen to the characters in the upcoming James Bond movies.
Will the plot continue the Bond family tradition of a single family, or will they be reunited with their lost love, the titular Spectre?
Will James Bond be able to return and be the hero he was before his injuries, or the villain he has become?
Is Bond the hero or the bad guy?
The answer will be decided by the next movie.
